Losing Audio Sync with Conform Locked Clips after Restart

After bringing an XML into Premiere, all my camera audio clips (single system), show up with a red triangle with a question mark in it. No audio at all on playback. I've found a way to fix this by clicking the video part of the clip, finding it in the media pool, and selecting Conform Lock to Selected Timeline Clip. This refreshes the clip and puts the audio back and in sync which is great. A cumbersome and painful solution to have to do this for every interview clip in an entire 90 min sequence, but doable. However, after saving the project, restarting Resolve and opening the project, the synced clip no has no audio whatsoever. This is a repeatable behavior.

This is Resolve 14b7, but the problem existed in 14b6 as well and presumably earlier versions.

All the audio is single system from .R3D clips.

I see. It looks like an R3D contains uncompressed audio at 24-bit 48 kHz. It's curious that they don't specify if it's some other kind of uncompressed format in the wrapper, like LPCM.
