Resolve 14 not recognising Cuda

PostMon Aug 21, 2017 8:12 am

I've recently purchased a new 2017 iMac with 4.2GHz i7 Processor and Radeon Pro 580 8192 Mb Graphics card.
I'm running OS Siera 10.12.6.
When I start up the computer a NVIDIA Cuda window comes up saying "No GPU Detected."
When I open DaVinci Resolve 14 a window comes up saying "No Cuda acceleration hardware detected."
Every time I try to open Resolve it crashes.
I have the latest version of DaVinci Resolve 14, installed last Wednesday.
I have downloaded and re installed both the latest Cuda driver and DaVinci to no avail.
Has anyone experienced this problem and has anyone got a solution?
I would very much appreciate some help!
Thanks in advance.

AMD graphics cards don't have CUDA support, you want to use OpenCL.
Ryzen 5800X3D
32GB DDR4-3600
RTX 3090
DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G
Resolve Studio 17.4.1
Windows 11 Pro 21H2

The solution for me was provided by BlackMagic support. When the projects window opened, instead of trying to open a project I pressed the command and the comma key together. That brought up DaVinci preferences. In Hardware Configurations I changed the GPU Processing Mode to OpenCl. Problem solved!

Should the nVidia Preference Pane then be deleted?
