Live Grading workflow in 60 fps HDR with dual interfaces

PostWed Oct 18, 2017 1:22 pm

Hi!

I am trying to set up a system for Live grading in 60fps/HDR.
I have gotten it to work with a single Decklink Studio 4K with an SDI to HDMI converter, but the framerate is only around 10-15 fps.

Now I added a UltraStudio Extreme 3 over PCI-e to push a higher framerate, however, I cant get an image to display in Resolve when turning on Resolve Live anymore. I have added a schematic for my current setup and I guess my question is how to connect and setup the interfaces in Resolve.

When I connect SDI Out from UltraStudio Extreme 3 to SDI in on the Decklink I get a green image when turning on Resolve Live. Green is better than Black but I expect to see more colors than that :D

Thanks in advance,
Oscar

Decklink Studio 4K doesn't support 4K 50/60p.
Your low framerate of 10-15fps has nothing to do with any of the cards, but fact that machine is not powerful enough. Those cards server just preview/capture role, rest is up to your machine.

Make sure that Extreme 3 and Declink are in correct (fast enough) PCI-E slots.

Please publish as much detail about your machine as you can. Exact OS and Resolve version too.
