Zooming-In and Scrolling!

PostWed Feb 24, 2016 5:32 pm

Hi everyone,

In the Color page, I want to add a small mask (Power Window) for a person's eye on the preview screen. But because the eye is a small part of the frame, I need to be able to zoom in to the eye, and apply the mask around it very accurately.

So, I know how to zoom in, but I could not figure out how to scroll or move around the zoomed image? I searched everywhere with no luck! Any idea how to do that?

For the record, I am not using a mouse.

Appreciate every help ..

Got me a mouse for my laptop just because of that.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

I had this problem too, but v14.2 (and perhaps earlier versions) seems to have fixed it on my Mac.

On OSX, placing two fingers onto the touchpad seems to pan around in the viewer window, and if you hold down the Option / Alt key and do the same it zooms in and out.

I believe this is yet to be included in the manual, so sharing it here for others who need to work without a mouse :)

With Apple Magic Mouse in Resolve on Mac OS12.5 Resolve v17

Scroll up down = zoom

Shift Command lets you scroll sideways in zoomed view

Option Cmnd lets you scroll up down in zoomed view

Return to DaVinci Resolve
