I know there has been a lot of discussion about how to setup the delivery page for surround sound and multichannel outputs. My confusion is simply on playback workflow.
In both Avid and Resolve, if I playback a 6 channel surround timeline, using blackmagic hardware, I have to swap the Center and LFE channels to hear proper playback. In Avid this is easy enough to do in the audio output tab, and it was as well in Resolve 12.*. In 14, I was trying to do it last week, and couldn't figure out where to do it. I ended up physically swapping the channels on my timeline, which is not ideal, as forgetting to put them back to normal would be bad.
I saw the whole patching tab in fairlight, but couldn't figure out how to swap the two channels for monitoring. I know there has been some discussion about monitoring being different from output inside 14, so I probably just need clarification as to how to set this up properly from the start.
Thanks for any help.
(I think it is time for a fairlight tab in these forums)
