Coloring RAW Multicam

PostSat Feb 24, 2018 9:42 pm

The forum's Search limitations make finding this one difficult. (It keeps ignoring the work RAW.)

I've cut a Multicam scene with CinemaDNG media. Now I want to color the clips. However, selecting the clips on the Color page does not seem to provide access to the clip's RAW controls.

Anyone have any ideas here?

Resolve Studio 14.3
Windows 10 Pro (1709)

I cannot speak directly to Cinema DNG but I know that when I have used RED you need to flatten/decomp your multi-cam clip before grading.

I have not tested but in theory, you could also just use a master timeline as I think that would accurately effect your clip. Also please test, but I would have thought that you could set into the multicam to do it, but I have not been able to make that work. Would love to have another body test it to see if they are having the same problems.

Nathan - did you mean 'step' into Multicam? That may work. There have been some bugs in Resolve 14 that broke this workflow but maybe 14.3 works now. As with any workflow, it's worth testing it from ingestion to delivery to make sure there aren't any hiccups along the way.

I was hoping I wouldn't. Thanks.
