How to keyframing the pan of audio ?

PostSat Sep 09, 2017 6:37 am

Hello, the manual said 'If you want to adjust the Pan of the clip in the Timeline...' and there have 'Parameter pop-up at the upper left-hand corner of the Curve Editor to turn on the Pan checkbox'
however, there nothing but only 'volume' on that corner and can’t open any pop-up menu.

I have the same problem. Did you figure out a solution yet?

Hi,

Yes there are solutions. From the new manual (07 Feb 2018) you have to use automation. See chapter 69 from page 1192. We can see step by step how to do it.

You have to search the forum. There is plenty of thread.

Hope this help.

Thanks for the help. I read the part about automation in the manual. And I tried working with automation but I also like working with keyframes. Is it not possible to do that anymore in resolve? There is also no way in resolve to adjust your automation with keyframes so..

Hello, this post is a bit old... but there is another approach to this question.
Just duplicate the audio track and pan each as you want, then just crossfade between them and you keep full control of where and when the pans occur.
This is obviously not so accurate as real keyframing, but it saves me a brunch of time.
