Fusion tab: resolution does not match timeline

PostThu Aug 16, 2018 6:57 pm

Hi,

I have a 1080p timeline and I drop a 4k footage into it.
I scale the footage down to 0.5 so it fits the screen.
So far, so good.

Now I enter the Fusion page, which shows me in the viewer a 4K resolution screen (canvas)
while my 4K footage is scaled down.

Question: why does the resolution on the Fusion page not match my time line (1080p).
How can I solve it on the Fusion page, i.e. resize the screen without affecting my footage in Fusion?

Thank you

Jeff

I have also noticed a disconnect between the Fusion scaling and Edit scaling behavior. Could be because Fusion integration is still ongoing.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

I had to make the fusion clip a compound clip and then I rescaled the compound clip. That introduced other problems though...

Hey ! Juste to follow up... I got that problem :

I edited one timelapse (DNG pictures) and I put in the 4K timeline.
But my RAW picture are in 3/2, and my timeline in 16/9. So I crop 1.319 to match with the next clip and not having letterbox.

Then I come into fusion to make my title appear, everything's great, and I work in 6000*4000.
But then I go back on my timeline : And my clip is still rescall (1.319 in the inspector window), but I got those letterbox back...

What can I do ? How can I fix that in a proper way ?

Finded two differents ways to not having that issue :
- Don't zoom and use inspector before doing fusion effect...
- Reset "media in" by right clic on the node in the fusion page, keep your fusion effect, and rescall after on the timeline...

Hope that will help peoples !
