DVR 15.1.0.024 - Media Offline issue on Mac

Hi there,

Using DVR 15.1.0.024 on Mac, and keep getting media offline / playback issues. When working on a timeline for a while (about 5-10 mins), out of the blue I get "media offline" for some, then for all clips. The next step is that playback is not possible at all. The playback button turns red when pressing Space, nothing is moving in the timeline, the viewer is blank. Even the media in my media pool is no longer displayed (which has definitely not been moved either).

Media is stored on internal SDD, no way the location changes. I have tried the following:
- rebooting my Mac
- turning off render cache (and on again)
- deleting render cache & optimized media
- changing the cache format under Project Settings - Master Settings - Optimized Media & Render Cache
- changing the cache file location under Project Settings - Master Settings - Working Folders

Any help is apprecaited. Thanks.

Did you get an answer to this? I'm having the exact same problem.

I am also getting flashes of Media Offline, weird because the last job rendered out just fine. But in Mpa4 and H264 outputs too, but they are random never in the same spot. I tried deletting the audio file underneath etc, rolling back and forth on the timeline. Please Advise?????

Just installed 15.2 hoping that amongst all the fixes this would be one of them. I have added a clip here to show the example of random missing media clips coming up in my delivery render. Yet i am able to export the project to another machine re-link the media and render out with no problems. But i don't want to keep doing that ie larger 4K projects etc.

Please help?

No mostly seems to be clips from the Canon 1Dxmkii .mov shot in 1080 25p

Hi... I'm sorry to resurrect this post this thread again, but I have the same exact problem with this. It's weird because before I can work with H264 with no problem, I'm not sure since when this problem happens. But now, it's still there. I try with the Davinci Resolve 15, it has this problem, I try with the Davinci Resolve 16 beta, it's same too.

Btw I'm using Mac, firstly I thought it's because I run El Capitan, I try to upgrade to Mojave, it doesn't change anything. FYI, I'm using hackintosh, I'm not sure it has a role in this problem or not.

I see the crash report, it says about that there's a problem when decoding the H264 files? I record the video using Sony Alpha 77, it makes AVCHD (.MTS) file, with the video codec H.264, and the audio codec AC-3.

If i use "Generate Optimized Media", if it's succeeded to generate, I can work with no problem. But sometimes, it can be failed too, the progress bar just freeze, and the timer keep increasing, and I can't cancel it.

Any insight with this problem?
