Nvidia 1060 or 2060 in laptop for resolve?

My old work laptop is on it's last legs, so while shopping for a new one I think I would like to get something that will handle editing 4K video (Resolve 16) and have been doing some looking around.

There was this MSI laptop, which featured the 2060 GPU: https://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX76792

And this Dell at BB, which was easier on the wallet but had the 1060 GPU:

Both have the latest i7 6 core, which out performs my current (3 year old) desktop i7 6 core, and both GPU's out perform the AMD RX480 8GB I have now, even though they have 6GB memory. The 2060 is a lot better, according to the user benchmark page.

I'm tempted to go with the Dell, since it looks like more of a regular laptop than a gaming machine, and on their Canadian Dell site I found I can get it with the 2060 GPU as well, but the price is about the same as the MSI then.

In Resolve the CPU is used to run the app, disk I/O and compression and decompression of codecs.
Resolve does all its image processing in the GPU on the graphics card.

As all the image processing in Resolve happen in the GPU are there two things that are important. The amount of vRam and the CUDA/OpenC Performance.
For 4K work do I min recommend 8 GB of vRam and in some cases more. And higher CUDA/OpenCL Performance are better.

I am sorry, but I can't recommend only 6GB of vRam for 4K work in Resolve.

Dell will most likely not allow upgrades, dont know about MSI
Look at Asus
The Laptop I purchased had an unused memory slot, that allowed me to upgrade from 16 to 32 gig ram
and an unused M2 slot, that allowed the addition of a second fast SSD
So if that MSI has upgrade possibilities go that way.

Unfortunately the ceiling I saw for vRAM in my searches yesterday was 6GB, in laptops $2000 & under anyway. Any higher spec's than i7 8th gen & 2060 6GB GPU the prices started climbing substantially.

Editing on the road is a nice to have for me, for the remote work I do for a living a laptop costing $1000 or less will more than suffice, so perhaps I'll look into replacing my 3 year old desktop instead.

If you like to replace your desktop, will I like to tell you that on 7th of July, will AMD introduce 5 new 3rd gen Ryzen CPU's together with new X570 Motherboards. They will both be faster and cheaper and be manufactured on the smaller 7nm process node and come with the new PCIe ver 4.0 Interface.

AMD will also introduce two new 7nm Navi Graphic Cards with PCI ver 4.0. They are confirmed also to arrive 7th July.

But rumors on the internet is saying, that last time AMD introduced new faster Graphics Cards, did nVidea respond by releasing new faster versions of some of the nVidea Graphics Cards using,
faster vRams at the same prices. And then lowering the prices of the versions with the OLD vRams. Many expect that same thing will happen this time, when AMD start selling the Navi.
So prices in the nVidea Graphic Cards are expect to decrease.

Competition is always good for the consumers.
