Export subclip from one project to another

PostWed Oct 09, 2019 2:25 pm

Hi!

I have some audio issues with my project, which I unfortunately isn't able to solve. The sound track is "choppy". When I preview the audio inside Davinci, it sounds perfect. Outside of Davinci also perfect.
I tried replacing it, using another track, but it sounds awful.

But, is there a way to export subclips from a project to another project?
I have gone through all football games my son has played this season, and picked out tackles, saves, scoring, celebrations and the plan is to show them to the kids when they have the annual end of season pizza and Coca Cola party.

Since the audio is choppy (it wasn't always that), I thought it might be possible to export the subclips to another project and start over?

I don't want to watch a million football matches all over again in order to choose moments, and then slow them down, zoom in, and all that all over again.

IKt's not a large project. It's 25 clips which is at most 15 seconds. some are in slow motion, some are zoomed, but nothing fancy. Also 2 mp3 files. It's shot in 4K, and edited in 4K. I have exported it a few times (after a few iterations), and the mp3 files sounds perfect there, but not anymore

Is it possible?

There are no other options besides in and out, so I don't understand where the problem is.

That might have come out slightly wrong:

On the audio track: it sounds choppy
Previewing the audio track in Davinci: sounds perfect
Outside (Media player, vlc et al): sounds perfect.

OK.

That suggests maybe an error in the timeline specs. Have you checked that?

I am unsure of what you mean.

The project is in 4k, all videos except one, is filmed in 4K.

What should I look for?

Also try turning that into better food for sportsmen, and your son will be better, and files will probably show up clean and smooth as well

I have tried telling my son he needs healthy food, vegetables and fruit in order to become a new Ronaldo / Messi, but he isn't interested in taking care of his father financially in my old days :-)

Then again my advice is always: The most important thing is to have fun. AND I never talk about football results. Only the things I have been happy with!

Thanks for all good advice! Powerbin was awesome. I exported everything, and redid the project. But I didn't have to watch through 30+ games again in order to find the perfect moments, and that was pretty neat.

Great forum, fantastic program.
