Dolby Vision trims - making deliverables on station WO licen

PostThu Oct 10, 2019 5:22 am

Hi everybody.

Our studio have plans about Dolby Vision grading, and one question occurred -
After adding manual trim correction on workstation with Dolby Vision license, can we open project on workstation without DV license and render some deliverables, as SDR version, which use this trims data? Would this trim data work or ignored?
Anibody, who possess DV license, please, make simple test!

Thanks a lot.

Hi Ilia,
Your DV licence is a site licence. Not restricted to one computer. (At least, that’s the way it works for us)
Install the licence on any computer that needs it, because it will ignore the trims if it is not installed.
