Resolve Studio 16.1.1 crashing on Mac OS Mojave

PostFri Nov 08, 2019 11:37 pm

I just upgraded to Resolve Studio 16.1.1 in the past 24 hours, and it's hanging every time I switch timelines. Am on Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6.

More station specs here:
iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015)
4 GHz Intel Core i7
32 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon R9 M395X 4 GB

Help!

Am preparing to uninstall and downgrade back to 16 or 16.1....

I'd rather downgrade the OS.
While BM is recommending Mojave or Catalina, 16 is still running under High Sierra.
Resolve Studio and Fusion Studio
iMac 2017 Radeon Pro 580 8 GB VRAM and 32 GB RAM
Mac mini 16 GB RAM plus eGFX Breakway Radeon RX 580

Matthew

Did you install Davinci Resolve from the App Store or from the blackmagic website?

Could you use the instructions provided in viewtopic.php?f=21&t=90190 to provide a link to your log archives please?

I believe I downloaded the application from the Blackmagic website, and then I purchased a license key from B&H.
I've attached a log file.

After reviewing the forums, I did try shutting off the "use GPU for Blackmagic Raw decode" and that seems to have stopped the issue.
