DR 16.xxx not good, glitchy BRAW playability on edit page

PostWed Jan 15, 2020 8:31 am

I have problems with BRAW from BMPCC4K playability is very unpredictible on edit page (sometimes smooth sometimes glitchy on same clip), on color page it plays always smooth even in 4K timeline. Even change of timeline resolution to HD or even 720P doesn't help. Sometimes proxy mode helps but not allways and it's more prominent with time - more hours I work with project edit, playback becomes more glitchy.
Clip playability also changes with time. Longer U work on project it's worst, and Davinci Resolve and Mac needs restart! At first load of project is glitchy allways, first play of clip. Second play smooth and after 1 hour is becomes glitchy again and after 4 h of editing timeline is unplayable.
To play smooth i need to hit fast spacebar to start and stop and hit to start again. This causes that clip plays smooth.
On colorpage smooth playback.

It was on BRAW compresion 8:1 and 12:1 and 6o fps HFR clips on 24 fps timeline with aspect ratio 4K DCI 2:39.

I have tried also install BRAW 1.5 latest and 1.6. And with 1.5 seems like problem is less prominent but also exist. In my opinion problems started after adding new cut page to DR.

All 16.xxx DR versions on MacBook Pro with SSD and 16GB RAM with latest OS Mojave + egpu RX580.

I've not seen any problems with my own Q5 BRAW media in Studio 16.1.2 for Windows with Intel/nVidia hardware.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Thanks for info. That's different setup - Windows and nVidia. I experience this on Mac OS, Macbook with external thunderbolt eGPU Radeon RX580.
