a good workaround for missed audio crossfades...?

Hi friends,

I have encountered an annoying situation whereby the cross-fades between audio clips do not work. As they were not there to start with... I searched a little bit and it seems there is a known bug.

I understand that whatever modification of the clip after applying the transition, on audio, will actually cancel the transition. Is that right?

What would you say a good workaround would be? I would really prefer not to re-render an hour long clip just because that nice smooth audio transition transformed into an abrupt, horrible cut.

Any suggestion please? Thanks!

After a while of not noticing the problem, I guess it was fixed in the latest v16 updates, with the latest version 17.2, the audio crossfades are again missing, after edits to the clips...

Is it only me?

I do work on another computer now, so the same happened on two different systems...

Other than that, Resolve 17.2 is greeeeeaaat!!!
