Grade Opacity

PostMon Feb 22, 2021 8:34 am

Once the entire grading process has been complete, is there a way to
- turn down the opacity of the entire grade?
or
- turn down the opacity/output key of all the nodes at the same time?

I need this because sometimes the entire grade looks very heavy and i would like to blend everything more.
One obvious workaround would be to start grading with an adjustment clip and change the opacity if needed.

Select all nodes and create a compound node, adjust the key output of the compound node.

I don't know of any way to do that for an entire timeline at once.

But...why are you wanting this?

Sometimes I go a bit heavy with my grades, and only realise after a break.
It gets tedious to tone down every single node.

I can't imagine a scenario for me, where subtracting equal percentage of each node in a node tree would give a desired result.

If that's your case, the previous suggestion of compounding would work.

In my case I always do it on a per node basis or create a new node to compensate. This new node is either before the known nodes I want to attenuate or my second node.
