Resolve 17.2 can't open .MFX files

Resolve 17.2 is not opening MFX files and says media is offline. If I convert the file to ProRes it opens in the timeline fine.

And you are definitely using Studio? Please post a sample for download then. MXF is also just a container and we don't know the codec.

If you are using the free version, you might be running into a codec only supported by Studio, like a 10-bit format.

Thank you. I inadvertently downloaded the free version by mistake and installed it over my studio version. Now running Studio 17.2 and all is well again. I guess that means that Sony users will have to purchase the full version.

Canon and Panasonic users too, if they record recently introduced better formats. It's about 10 bit 422.
