Cache file locaiton

PostFri Jun 25, 2021 9:32 am

Hi everyone,

I've been using resolve recently for playback and export. I work off a server and pulling the files from there is very slow. I've been generating localized media for each shot which I'm guessing points towards the 'Cache file location' on the Project settings? I have a cache drive on my machine which is a super-fast SSD. I'd like them to always points towards there however when I open up a new project, it always points back to my C: drive. Is there any way of changing this so it always points towards my cache drive (B:)? Gets annoying when I always need to change the:
Proxy generation location, Cache files location & Gallery stills location.

Thank you :)

Make sure the desired Cache drive is the first one on the list under Preferences>System>Media Storage.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
