AAF Metadata to Pro Tools

PostFri Mar 04, 2022 9:51 pm

Hi all.
I've been in a frustrating predicament here. I'm attempting to deliver an AAF package to my sound mixer, however, audio track metadata is not making it's way over to Pro Tools. Specifically, Resolve insists on renaming the synced audio to correlate with the video clip it's attached to; something that's quite useless for my purposes. I need a way to preserve original audio metadata such as microphone, boom, LRMIX that our field recorder embedded for us.

I understand that there may be a way to import an ALE into Media Composer, which is a valid method, but does not seem to be working for me since Resolve likes to rename my audio even without me asking.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
