This script lets you import markers from an Avid marker text file. It also lets you change colour of the incoming markers so the colours don't mess with your existing markers. The "Include Created by and Layer info" button adds that information into the marker text. Otherwise it's ignored.

There are online tools that import markers from Avid, but given the security requirements of some of our clients, I thought it best to write something that works on my machine. Also this is written in Lua, so there's not trouble with having to install Python.

To install the script copy it to:
MacOS: /Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/Fusion/Scripts/Edit/
Windows: C:\ProgramData\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Fusion\Scripts\Edit
Linux: /opt/resolve/Fusion/Scripts/Edit

To run it, look in the menu: Workspace => Scripts => Edit

You an find my other script here:

Heya Marcus :)

I've been using this for the last couple of months and I just wanted to express my gratitude.

Let me know if you have a donate button somewhere and I'll flick you some beer money!

Cheers heaps,
