Some prorez files do not work resolve 10

Hi..


I'm having trouble where all prorez files do not show up in media browser window
and if i see them they are black.

Could this be OS problem as in my other machine same files work.

In the same machine prorez files that i made as proxy they also work.

What is you system specs?

What version of Resolve are you using?

osx 10.8.5
4000 gui / 780 GPU
DL 4K


Resolve 10.0.2
Yesterday it was 10.0.1
Disk database.


It seems like os problem a bit as if i copy some files that are ok
to different location they also will "break".

And files by them self play in QT and in second machine.

I also had some weird problem with keyboard and Resolve shortcuts.
They mostly seem to be broken.

Ok i had beta on this machine but did always remove first and then new install so it should be ok.

In any other app prorez is fine.

I'm making clone of my os now so i could reinstall and see if that changes something.

Files are on separate array so if the problem is embedded in os level permissions etc.
that may not help me i think ?

With array i mean i have 2x 4 tb drives striped under Disk utility as Raid.

Watch for QTDecoder error messages. If you point the Library to a location that has a QT file that Resolve does not like for some reason, it can crash the QTDecoder app. You normally would get a message if that happens. If the QTDecoder app crashes, for whatever reason, any QT type files will show up as black after that. Until you restart Resolve, which also restarts the QTDecoder app.

Ok i will see if i can get those files working.

Some of them are from BMC camera originals.

Why should there be anything wrong with them ?

Something would not be wrong with the BMC files. But if there is a troublesome file any where in a path that the Library view accesses, that can crash the QTDecoder app.

Sometimes file folder looks empty also.

For example BMC 4K demo files.

I see just empty folder.

I now ended up killing the folder which seemed to be "rotten"

May be there was bad files in it also that made TQ to behave as you described but i had
no alerts or messages to see who is bad and why.

If i did clean project for other files and folders than they did work.
