Pinch Zoom In/Out?

How is this still not possible in late 2022?

I have to take my right hand off the mouse and use a two-key combo to zoom in and out, ridiculous.

What type of zoom are you referring to, on the actual video, or interface elements (timelines, viewers, node window...)? A mouse with a scroll wheel will let you zoom in and out of the latter areas by holding the Alt key down with the other hand.
