Problem with Resolve 10 and MBP 2013

PostSat Jan 04, 2014 1:28 am

I recently purchased a BMCC and I upgraded to DaVinci Resolve 10 and it will let me pull the media into the media pool and the master bin but it will not take the cinema dng files or a 1080 h.264. It will not let me color correct or put onto the timeline in the edit bin. I am using the dongle that came with resolve 9. I don't know what I am doing wrong. It worked fine on resolve 9. Anyone else having these issues?

You need to actually create a new timeline before it let's you drag media there.

Page 180 of the Resolve manual explains the procedure.

As stated you need to create a timeline. Resolve 10 does not create a Master timeline like Resolve 9 used to.

Your screen shot clearly shows there are no timelines (top left) so you need to create one first. Click the "+" icon below.

Thanks guys! I feel a little silly but this is what happens when you don't take the time to read the manual and assume it will just work. Greatly appreciated!
