Trim Audio on the Edit page without frames

PostWed Dec 07, 2022 3:19 pm

I am wondering if there is a way to trim audio freely on the edit page meaning without frame snapping just like on the fairlight page?

Thanks in advance

I believe the 'sample rate' on Edit - the minimum unit you can work in - is the Frame Rate, whereas on Fairlight it's the Audio Sample Rate.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

I could have sworn that it worked on the edit page before, but I may be wrong...

I don't remember under which heading, but there is an option in the top drop-down menus which allows frame-less (sub-frame) audio moves on the Edit page.

Trim > Slip Audio

or Option + right/left arrows

However, it appears that you must be zoomed-in on the timeline sufficiently for this to work (you will see a red badge appear indicating audio/video sync offset once you move the audio with respect to the video).

Thank you this is it! I have to be zoomed in more in order for it to stop snapping to the frame. I thought I was going crazy, thank you!
