Resolve 18 won't play audio to headphones

I recently bought a Windows 11 laptop and installed Resolve 18.1.2 Studio so I can edit video when away from home. I just realized that Resolve does not recognize the headphones when plugged in. All sound goes to the laptop's speakers. The headphones are definitely plugged in and they receive audio from other apps. I tried Bluetooth connection to the headset but that didn't work either.

System audio i/o preferences shows audio i/o engine as "System audio" and "automatic speaker configuration" is checked. Please help. Thanks.
