If you have a look on the Lift Gamma Gain forum there are benchmark tests comparing:
2013 Mac Pro 3.5GHz 6-Core/ 16GB/ 256GB SSD with Dual AMD FirePro D500s
vs
2010 Mac Pro 2.66GHz 12-Core/ 24GB with a Single Nividia GTX 780 3GB (CUDA), GT120 (GUI)

I am grading my first job in Resolve so the only comparison I have is Apple Color on a 2010 Mac Pro and the rendering out of Resolve is so fast compared to Color. The playback is great but the sound doesn't playback well.

Sad news :

FCP 7 does not work on mac pro 2013, the installer fails loading a lib. The installer is using the 32b version of a library you only get in 64 with mac pro.. so it stops installing with an error message.

I see only one way to go:
transform FCP7 projects into FCPX..

Good news :

Resolve works like a charm !

Strange. I really don't miss FCP7.

Because you don't have productions made with it..
Unfortunately, I have to keep my old Mac Pro alive so I can access the FCP7 projects in the future.
