Assets Used Fusion Composition Do Not Show Up as Used

Hello:

Question for you all. Assets used in Fusion composition do not show up as being used in the Media Pool. Is this by design or is it a bug?

BTW. I am using MacOS version 13.4 and Davinci Resolve Studio version 18.5 Beta Rev 4.

Call it what you will, it's certainly an undesirable feature. You'll need to bring those assets into your media pool as well if you want them included in a project archive (I am guessing that's why it matters to you, is that true?). I thought they made some improvements to this in 18.5 beta but I may be mistaken.

Thank you for confirming what I believe to be a bug.

Blackmagic Design. Please review this. I reported it as a bug last week and all I got as a response from the BMD team was to report it on this forum. I had to bump my post from last week to get a response.

BMD please fix this as this really is a bug.

Interestingly, the release notes for 18.5 beta include the following:

“DRA project archives now include VFX Connect media.”

Not sure what this means but it sounds like they are moving in the right direction.

I also have no idea what “DRA project archives now include VFX Connect media.” But I do know that media that has been used in Fusion should show up as being used in the Media Pool. This is a bug that needs to be addressed.
