Workarounds for Timeline Proxy Mode Bug on Text?

PostMon Mar 25, 2024 4:31 pm

Hey all,

We've been experiencing an issue with our onscreen titles (using basic "Text" titles) changing size/positioning when switching between "Timeline Proxy Resolution" modes. After doing some research, it appears this is a known bug that has not been fixed yet. I've also messed with the scaling options in both timeline settings and project settings, but it doesn't appear to fix any issues with onscreen text. We are on 18.6.5.

Does anyone have any good solutions/workarounds until Resolve fixes this? I tried to use a Text+ node instead, but it's difficult to replicate our text style in those nodes as they don't have the "Font Case" options. And if we have to go through Fusion, not sure if that will just slow us down anyway, although these aren't fancy titles with motion or anything.

Thanks.

Don't use the "Timeline Proxy " modes, but true proxies.
