Protected keyframes for animation in resolve

PostTue Mar 26, 2024 6:16 am

Hello there,

I am a premiere user transitioning to Resolve. In premiere there is a concept of "Protected Keyframes" which allows the clip to be lengthened or shortened without affecting the keyframes.

How can the same be aachieved in resolve?

So if I place a keyframe on a clip at 1 second and then resize the clip it should stay at 1 second no matter the lenght of the clip.

I do not know what it is called in resolve.
Any help in this regard will be helpful.

Here is the exact description of the problem

That's how NLE's (including Resolve) normally work. It's actually a little odd that Adobe calls it a 'feature'.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

You could look into using Anim Curves.

Win 10 Home | Intel i7 - 10700f 64 GB 1 TB GB SSD 2 TB SSD
RTX-3060 12 GB | Resolve Studio 18.6.6| Fusion Studio 18.6.6

Win 10 Home | Intel Core I7-7700HQ 32 GB 1 TB NVME SSD 1 TB SATA SSD
GTX-1060-6GB | Resolve 17.4.6
