8k footage in 4K timeline

PostWed Mar 27, 2024 6:48 am

I have studio copy at home but i forgot my USB. Question I downloaded the free version and im shooting 8k RAW CDNG from DJI inspire 3.

If i am limited to 4K resolution on the free version and i import into a timeline and export am i loosing any quality? I would normally setup an 8k timeline and export 4K or 8k from there but im worried as i am away working and not sure if i need to fork up for a license i dont really need.

You can import even 12K, it doesn't matter. It's the output which is limited to UHD, not 4K, but the source quality is preserved.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.
