In/Out segment list

PostWed Mar 27, 2024 8:36 am

Hi all,
is there the possibility to make segment list of in/out points as Lightworks (and other) do?
In long edits it can be useful to jump in a specific named segment.

Sorry for my bad english, i hope you understand me.

On the Edit page, you can go to the top menu bar and click Index. When you select each edit event, it will jump through the timeline and stop the playhead on the first frame of each edit.

Is this what you're talking about?

Hmmm no, what i wish, for example:

Set Mark In/Out point and name this section 'Begin', another In/Out section named 'in the citiy' and so on...
The open a windows (like index) and select in what section i wish to jump. Like Marker but in this case I (or other editor) know from where to where point making changes.

I hope you understand (I use theese option since Movieshop on Amiga and other NLE systems)

Can't you use markers? A marker can have a duration. Just hold Option/Alt and click and drag the marker to drag out the duration.

Or, set an In/Out point and convert it to a duration marker using the option in the Mark menu.

There are better options than 4K plus pages:
