DRS18.6.6: Sound Library how to refresh it? And rate audios?

PostMon Apr 15, 2024 2:43 pm

Ok the sound library works pretty well.

But I have deleted form my HD a couple of files I no want any longer. but they still into the library: How can I refresh it?

moreover: I rated the files I have, but the rating was not stored. What can I do to store the rating please?

EDIT: By re-adding the library, it doesn't remove the deleted files.

Manually delete the current database and create a new database. Use the “Add Library” function from the Sound Library panel's Additional Options menu to scan the target path.

There is no way to delete the dB. By using PostgreSQL, DaVinci seems not able to delete a database. It just disconnect it. So I'm constrained to create another one with different name ... all over again each time I remove a file.

Yes you suggested me pgAdmin that I have but unfortunately I don't recall the Master PWD.
To reset the PWD I'm afraid do not be able to reconnect DaVinci as well. Nice situation.

BM should add the option to delete the DB and/or to refresh it in a more proper way.

The PgAdmin password or the database password?

The pgAdmin pwd.
I already saw how to connect without PWD by modifying a config file. But it doesn't work.

Ah important: if the database is no postgreSQL: the rating is working fine.
In postgreSQL it doesn't keep the votes.

Drop the database via command line as super user.

Ok Im' doing it. I have an issue now ... it doesn't want to delete any database (I'm in as Administrator). So I wrote on Stackoverflow to ask for support.

However this is not a database management that's acceptable.

BM must implement the possibility to disconnect (as it is now) AND to DROP the databases as well.

Ok I was able to remove the databases via command line. I found the solution and I answered to myself on StackOverflow.
