Davinci Studio included with new micro color panel?

PostWed Apr 17, 2024 7:36 am

Hi guys,

Does anyone know if Davinci Studio will be included for free with the new micro color panel? I know it comes with the bigger panels and even the speed editor which is cheaper.

Thanks, Brian

It seems no. The few websites you can order/preorder don’t mention the studio license :(

And it's just about the difference in price.

Yeah, the Speed Editor still ships with a studio license. Maybe that’s the reason why it doesn‘t get significant improvements. ;) It seems to be an „easy entry“ to get people into BM‘s hardware..

Some people buy DR speed editor to obtain the license and then sell it second hand to recover part of what they've paid.

DR studio costs €332,75 in Spain @ 21% VAT. It's worth it for a lifetime license. I got it with the camera, it was one of the reasons I bought it.

I bought my DR Studio License about 3 years ago without hardware. But why not make a bargain if possible.

Thanks guys...I guess I'll just have to buy a speed editor and sell it on...I'm getting the micro panel anyway but would have been nice to get both together. I had seen the website but just thought maybe it wasn't updated as some of my stores still don't even have the panel listed.

Please be aware, if the activation key came with the camera it’s the speed Editor , or other hardware like a keyboard or camera, serial number of that hardware defines the ability to receive support.

But the ability to use Resolve Studio is defined not by the hardware serial but by the number on the card, right Peter?
