Black bars on top and bottom of footage?

PostThu Apr 18, 2024 9:03 am

Hi All,
I have imported some footage into Resolve and for some reason part of the footage has black bars on the top and bottom. Other parts of the footage (different cuts) do not. Can anyone please advise how to get rid of them? (And what I’m doing that I shouldn’t be?)
Please see screenshot of the footage with black bars below.
Thanks for your help.

Timeline vs footage resolution mismatch.
The solution is to scale appropriately (and/or key out the black parts to alfa and have the white background show though)
