Pasting precisely in place

PostThu Apr 18, 2024 1:54 pm

What is the standart way to paste clips onto your timeline ?

I know you can use "Auto track selector" and turn it off and on for some tracks to paste into a specific place. But this is very unconvenient. Pasting a clip normally by pressing cmd c is always a complete dissaster for me.

I am looking for a way to paste directly where my playhead is. Similarly to how you can press cmd shift v in Adobe Ilustrator to paste into a specific place.

Thanks !

Paste Priority for tracks is:

1. Same track.
2. Lowest numbered track with Auto Track Selector on.

Paste Priority for time is:

1. In point.
2. Playhead.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

May I recommend a free book (PDF) from BM's training section?
