Ultra zoom waveform - fairlight

PostFri Apr 19, 2024 7:07 am

Anyone have any top tips for getting some ultra zoomed waveforms in fairlight? I’ve got a bit of audio where it doesn’t register anywhere in resolve and it’s not audible but failed QC as it should be silent there but has some extremely low level audio. If I manually apply meters direct to the tracks I can just see a blip but nothing in the rest of the UI that would help to avoid that getting through. Wondering if there is an ultra zoom mode or something? Apparently it’s visible in Pro Tools once zoomed right in, but not anywhere in resolve.

View menu > Zoom Audio Waveform > Increase / Decrease Height
Clip contextual menu > Track Waveform Zoom
⟦ Mac Pro 7,1 Rack ⊕ 16-core 3.2GHz ⊕ 32GB RAM ⊕ Radeon 580X • Resolve Studio 19.0 • macOS 14.4.1 ⟧

Maybe try cutting out that section of the clip entirely?
