My understanding is that this has been a problem for a long while, but it would be great to finally have this fixed now that Resolve 19 is going through early stage beta testing.
Using the rotation angle from the Inspector on anamorphic footage causes the image to compress back into itself (as if it were squeezing again). It stretches the image in a very unnatural way. This makes simple tasks like fixing straight lines in post-production a huge pain, since the only way you can properly rotate the footage is to go into Fusion.
Not sure why it's been like this for so long.
