No Audio when using playback in Audio Transcribing dialogue

PostThu Apr 25, 2024 2:30 pm

Hello,

I have a setup involving two video clips synced to one externally recorded audio clip using the audio waveform feature. While the external audio is my preferred choice for its quality, I encounter an issue during playback when selecting text in the transcription dialog box. In these instances, the external audio often does not play back, although the camera audio does without fail. Has anyone experienced similar issues? This has been a recurring problem in DaVinci Resolve since I started using it from version 15, and I'm currently on Resolve Studio 19 b1.

Thanks for any advice or solutions you can provide.

Well, I don't know a true solution, but a workaround would be rendering the file with the desired audio in a HQ codec and using that for transcription.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

Hi Uli,

Yes I think that would work.. but it's an addd step - I'm working with outputting a high number of videos each day - short marketing videos, so this would cost time!

Thanks for your input, its appreciated.
