Voice Isolation stops the Audio Limiter working

I add an audio limiter to a timeline clip which works well, then I turn on Voice Isolation in the Inspector. This works well except unfortunately the limiter (untouched) now has zero effect. Huh!

Any ideas?

Which Limiter VST plugin is instantiated? Is this behaviour on the Edit or Fairlight Timeline?

I'm on the Edit page and using the Limiter from the Effects panel, Fairlight FX not VST.

Is this behaviour isolated to the Edit page or is it also reproducible on the Fairlight Timeline?

With Voice Isolation enabled is Input/Output and Gain Reduction metering still active and is the graph scrolling?

Note that there is a level increase when enabling Voice Isolation.

Yes and Yes

The line on the scrolling graph is too high with Voice Isolation on. I can get the limiter to work by lowering the line, setting it to -18dB instead of -10dB but I don't care for that option much. As I needed to complete the project I did a workaround, first added the limiter then made a compound clip and then added the Voice Isolation. That worked.
