Can I run DaVinci Resolve on this system...?

PostThu Jul 17, 2014 12:47 am

Hey folks. So I'm hoping you can let me know if my system is sufficient in meeting the requirements to run DaVinci Resolve on Linux...otherwise I might have to finally relent and just get a Mac for my video stuff which as a new Linux convert would be a sad day.

My system:

OS: Linux Mint 16 Cinnamon 64-bit (Cinnamon v. 2.0.14)
Linux Kernel: 3.11.0-12-generic
Processor: Intel Core i5 CPU, M560 @ 2.67GHz x 2
RAM: 7.5 GB
HDD: 600 GB
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GT218M [GeForce 310M]

What do you think...?

Hi, please refer to the published config guides for system configs that are supported. Your system is not going to work. Also note, the Linux dongle is required to run DaVinci Resolve on Linux and these are includes when you purchase a BMD Resolve control panel.
