Quit, then can't restart

I'm a new Divinci Resolve Lite user, and I'm enjoying learning to use it. However I've encountered one annoying problem. When I quit the program I can't restart it without going into Windows task manager and killing the Divinci Resolve task or process it leaves behind. I'm running Windows 8.1. Is there something I'm missing in order to get a clean exit?
