DaVinci Resolve Lite 11.3.1 crashes

PostMon May 18, 2015 10:43 pm

My PC:
CPU Intel i7-3610QM 2.3GHz (3.9GHz turbomode)
RAM 8GB
Windows 7 pro
NVidia GT650M 2GB (cuda, physix)

Problem:
I created new project and added 65 MTS files (AVCHD from GH2 Flowmotion 2.0.2) with sum size 20GB.
I am in media gallery and when I click on some clip and try to add it to the bin Resolve crashes. Sometimes it crashes after 3rd or 4th clip moving to the bin, but it always crashes. I am attaching two crash logs (no resolve.exe dump because it is too large). From the logs ResolveDebug.txt it looks that Resolve crashes on some assertions:

Assertion failed: (packet.GetPID() == p_PID) && packet.IsPayloadStart(), file MPEG2\IOMPEG2Container.cpp, line 937
or
Assertion failed: (packet.GetPID() == p_PID) && packet.IsPayloadStart(), file MPEG2\IOMPEG2Container.cpp, line 1027

Could you give a look on these logs and check where can be the problem? Is it my too poor HW or MTS files?

I investigated the problem and it looks I solved it by changing movies container from MTS to MOV.
In case anyone needs do similar conversion I used following command (ffmpeg from 20150519):

Code: Select all
ffmpeg -i inpu.mts -vcodec copy -acodec pcm_s16le -ac 2 output.mov

After this conversion I can load all 65 MOV files and edit without any crash.
