Removing duplicate frames

Is there a simple way to remove duplicate frames with DaVinci Resolve?

I’m looking for a 20fps C500 "Special Record" work-around.

Below is the workflow I’m using for a short film project.

Canon C500 2K 2048x1080 444 12Bit 24fps (off speed “Special Record)
to
Odyssey 7Q 2K 2048x1080 444 12Bit
to
DaVince Resolve 11.3.0lite.004.

When I use “Special Record” on the C500 and set the frame rate to 20fps, the Odyssey resets its Time Base to 30fps and it does the record the 20fps output from the camera but it adds duplicate frames as necessary so that the 30fps recording respects the actual time of the shot.

I can bring these DPX sequences into DaVince Resolve and set the time base back to 24fps but I have all these duplicate frames that make the movement stutter and which is not the idea at all. The effect I’m looking for is simply slightly sped up action: 20fps played back at 24fps. Is there a simple way to remove the duplicate frames?

Thanks so much for any suggestions.

I assume they are DPX?
I think I can write you tool to remove duplicates and restripe naming to create new sequence. Are you on Mac?
