DaVinci Resolve 12 Beta2 - Nesting layer nodes causes crash

I'm trying to create a compound node that involves a layer node attached to an external matte via a serial node. This tree is meant to add grain.
If I select the node tree including nodes 5, 6, the EXT Matte and the Layer Node (FIG.1), and then create a compound node, all is fine. But if I don't include node 5 in the selection (FIG.2) and create a compound node, Resolve is crashing on me every single time. The tgz log file and the screenshots are in the provided zipped file so you guys can have a look. Good luck!
