Avid AAF Metadata Question

PostMon Sep 07, 2015 12:20 pm

Hi all

Does an Avid AAF produced for a round trip through Resolve hold some information as to which directory the media linked to that AAF is stored?

Cheers

No.

You just move the new media into an Avid media files folder and let Avid index them which creates an .mdb file. Then import the new AAF.

Thanks Peter
But was was more thinking about the first stage of the round trip. Making the AAF in Avid.
Does the Avid put some information in the AAF as to where the media it was linked to was residing and does the Resolve then only look in that location when doing an automatic media load? Or does Resolve just look at every drive you have mounted?

Cheers

Tim
