Resolve 11 acting up

PostSun Sep 20, 2015 12:15 am

I have a few issues with Resolve 11 and Premiere Pro CS 2014 XMLs but this new bug has me stumped.
Ive been doing all my first light edits in REDCINE X Pro.
Saved all the RMDs and everything was running fine up to this evening.
All of a sudden Resolve wont import any of the new saved RMDs.
Now I know there is a weird bug with XML imports (timeline) where your stuck with the RED clips metadata at that point in time.
Odd that after making changes to the RMD the clips will not update in the Resolve XML imported timeline.
Now I can still see the changes with older documents but I want to import a new XML with the updated RED files in a new project.
Ive tried everything and Resolve will not import the updated RMD saved RED clips.
Is there a cache of some sort that I can delete and start fresh?
Or should I just bite the bullet and go to Resolve 12 already.
I hate updating during critical projects.

I don't believe doing any edits in Redcine-X Pro is a good idea. To me, RCX is just a dailies tool and a piece of free software designed to let you watch and adjust R3Ds on set. Just bring the R3Ds into Resolve on their own and work on them entirely there. Leave RCX out of the equation.

Thanks Marc for the tip.

At the moment Im in a bind and need it to work it out this way.

I just find things quicker in RCX at this point in my workflow.

Unfortunately this was due to originators Premiere Pro project using proxies.

I've never had to go that route, Im used to the Avid/FCPX round-trip way.

I did manage to figure out parts of the problem and it seems to be RCXPro itself.

I updated to latest version and found some clips to be stuck on original Metadata.

Updated the clips and most made it back it to Resolve okay.
