deleting time-line clips causes constant crashes

PostMon Sep 21, 2015 2:54 am

I'm getting constant crashes, when deleting clips in the time-line (with delete key).

R12, Win 7 Pro. I have a crash log, but am not sure if these are still wanted, or procedure for submitting them since they may exceed upload limits(?)

If you have the CaptureLogs crash log post a link to a dropbox or the like with a description of how to recreate the problem.

No dropbox account. If you want to provide an email, publicly or privately, I'd be happy to send it that way.

In this case it occurred with BMD RAW files on a single-track t-l, though it's been known to happen in other instances with ProRes source as well.

FWIW, some additional information: the crashes appear to occur, or to occur more often, when selecting the color panel immediately after deleting a t-l clip or clips with the delete key (ripple delete). It occurs in both trim and non-trim modes, and in this case, with RAW footage.

Not every instance, but often -- in a space of 5 minutes, it was easy to precipitate a few crashes.

EDIT: same thing occurs with ProRes footage, and despite intervening events, such as t-l playback. The sequence of clip deletion, followed eventually by changing the panel to "Color" is a reliable way to bring on the crash.

You can send logs to the BMD support office for your region.
