Internal bit depth for audio processing?

PostTue Dec 15, 2015 4:22 am

We all know that DR is calculating video internally with the ultimate quality of 32 bit float.

But I could not find any information about internal audio calculations. Does anybody know what bit depth is used internally for audio? And how is this affected if you use filters with less bit depth? Is only the file in question affected or does DR need to reduce bit depth for the whole track?

TIA
