Crash while using qualifier

PostFri Jan 08, 2016 6:25 pm

Hey, everyone. I keep getting freezes and crashes while using the qualifier tool. It generally goes like: qualify, hit play, stop, freeze with the beachball. Sometimes it comes back, sometimes I have to force quit. Anyone getting something like this?

Resolve 12.2 on a Mac Pro and GTX 980 ti.
Ryzen 9 5950x, 64GB RAM ddr4 3200MHz, RTX3080Ti, Windows 11 Pro,
Resolve Studio 18.1, Decklink Mini-monitor 4K

Normally a bitrate/throughput issue but depending on your media resolution and what looks like a single-GPU system, you may be exceeding your local image-processing capacity if the graphics card has to double-up on the separate correction path.

Hey, JP! This is something I have used regularly even before on a Windows laptop using a 2GB AMD GPU. I find it strange to happen on a much powerful machine.
Since I first posted, I have realized that Resolve has not been stable on my Mac. It hangs during other operations - even on just play stop -, and sometimes quits the program altogether.
I'm in a bit of a loss. I have all the latest updates for nvidia, cuda, blackmagic desktop, etc.

Check your disk structure with something like Disk Warrior.

Some have seen this even fix render problems with Resolve.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

Hi, Uli. thanks for the tip! I did that, Disk Warrior did a few corrections, but the problem remains. It even happens when working with PRORES files. It hangs when I hit play every once in a while seemingly random. It really slows me down while working as I am forced to force quit everytime.
