Workflow: syncing sound and resolve.

PostMon Jan 11, 2016 1:05 pm

Hi,

How do you manage to wok with synced sound ?

A - While creating proxies in Resolve are you also using the synced audio sources ?
B - Are you grouping sounds in FCP/Prem/Vegas, making sub-projects with synced sound + video ?
C - Any other solution ?

I now use PluralEyes, and do not see exactly what is the better flow. I have tried A with no success, B takes a lot of time and makes the main project more complex than required.

If your footage doesn't have proper timecode, PluralEyes seems to be the best solution, with XMLs brought in through Premiere Pro, since Resolve doesn't read them directly.
No, an iGPU is not enough, and you can't use HEVC 10 bit 4:2:2 in the free version.
